eBay Integration
The Reseller Intelligence API is purpose-built for the eBay recommerce market. The data layer architecture was designed from the outset with direct eBay API integration as the target end state.
Sold comp data and active market data are currently sourced through authorized third-party data aggregators while direct eBay Developer Program access is pursued. The source-agnostic adapter layer means this transition is a configuration change, not a rebuild — the normalized intelligence schema and all API response shapes remain identical before and after the migration.
Direct eBay API integration replaces the current third-party data layer with three eBay API programs:
eBay Finding API — Sold comp data (findCompletedItems) eBay Browse API — Active market data (item_summary/search) eBay Trading API — Listing publication (AddFixedPriceItem)
Direct eBay API access improves data freshness, accuracy, and reliability for all downstream operators and users. It eliminates third-party dependency, reduces latency on data calls, and enables features only available through the official API — including direct listing publication via the Trading API.
The Trading API is the correct endpoint for listing publication. Listings published via the Trading API land on eBay Seller Hub fully editable — title, price, item specifics, and SKU field remain unlocked. This is a meaningful operational advantage for high-volume sellers and VAs who need to edit listings after creation.
Acine is actively pursuing access to the eBay Developer Program. The application is supported by a working product workflow, demonstrated adoption among high-volume eBay sellers, and an architecture that has been production-validated before the application was submitted.
Each deployment operator that requires direct platform API access applies for their own eBay developer credentials independently. Acine's infrastructure provides the adapter layer; the operator provides the credentials. This maps to the Partial and Minimal deployment tiers.
